The new Macross series (Macross Frontier) features some amazing production design! This is actually an upward pan stitched together in Photoshop, and everything is in motion.

The quality on these old Mickey cartoons is just amazing. Look at the little mushrooms under the log Mickey is sitting on, or the little bath tub and bookshelf in the far back. Unbelievable.
